Bicycle and bananas - where is the cyclist?

Kigali is the entry point to Rwanda. It is a progressive city with lots of new, modern buildings and some great restaurants. The Genocide Memorial is a sobering, but interesting, side trip that will help you understand how far Rwanda has come in the last two decades.

As Rwanda is small, the distances are not great, but road conditions, when travelling off the tar roads vary greatly, for this reason Rwanda does not lend itself to self-drive holidays, especially off-the-beaten-track.

Akagera and Nyungwe have limited accommodation offerings, but more and more are being added yearly so eventually there will be options to suit most foreign pockets.
